When doing a roof replacement, we always remove everything all the way down to the wood. We do this on every job to ensure the underlayment is good so you can get the longevity of the shingles.
We always do a thorough inspection of the wood once it is torn off and take pictures for documentation of any rotted wood that needs replacing.
We will report this to you immediately, then report it to your insurance adjuster. Any additional costs will be communicated prior to moving forward.
We use synthetic felt on all our jobs unless ice and water shield is needed for lower pitches.
